The Halo De-make Demonstrated and Explained

Ever wonder what Halo would look like back on an old school Nintendo system? Well wonder no more kids! Eric Ruth, the de-maker wizard, answers your mind-bending questions while demonstrating his Halo de-make creation for us all to see.

Ruth has created an assortment of 8-bit de-makes, such as Left 4 Dead and DJ Hero. The creation pictured above is his newest – Pixel Force: Halo. It combined the side-scrolling gameplay of MegaMan with sprites and weapons from the Halo series. The game has everything from platforming and weapon powerups to Covenant destruction and Warthog riding.

Check out the video below to see the de-make in action, and hear Ruth describe what it’s like to create something as awesome as Pixel Force: Halo. The game is now available, and you can pick it up here.
