If you’ve been poking your nose around in the industry news lately, then surely you’ve caught the smell of the purposed Modern Warfare 3 teaser website, FindMakarov.com.

The site suggests a new Modern Warfare to surface in the industry, but Activision has stepped up to say, “Nay, nay.”

A spokesperson from Activision issued a statement over the weekend that read:

“There seems to be a great deal of speculation about the next Call of Duty project. Let me be clear that we are not revealing yet. Anything indicating otherwise is a hoax.”

So there you have it. The Modern Warfare 3 teaser site is just a supposed “hoax,” and a good one at that.
