Sega held a competition in efforts to promote Yakuza 3 back in 2010. That competition held a very special prize – a full back tattoo matching that of Kazuma Kiryu, a character in the game.
Australian 46-year-old Fari Salievsk, an MMA trainer from New South Wales, won that prize and you can see it above. The whole process too about half a year, with 4-hour sessions every three weeks. The whole piece is valued at… Over $9,000!
“Getting a tatt is making a statement that is with you for life so I do recommend it but it’s not something you rush in to,” says Salievsk.
The final result looks almost exactly like Japanese character’s piece, except for the fact that the kanji in the lower left corner of the piece has been replaced by some Korean writing. Salievsk wanted to put a “spin” on the original piece.
