Over the past week the Japanese people have had to endure earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, black outs, and the looming possibility of a nuclear meltdown. With aid from various countries and disaster relief groups on the way, most would think help from a video game company would be unlikely, however, some major video game companies are stepping up to do what they can. Konami and Square Enix have shut down servers in efforts to help conserve energy for the nation. Final fantasy XIV and XI are offline as well as Konami’s Metal Gear Online. The delay of the downloadable content pack for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 has been announced and some features for PlayOnline will be unavailable. Some people may be aggravated by this, but think of it this way, if not being able to play Final Fantasy is the biggest issue in your life, consider yourself lucky.
