Black Ops Limited Edition To Include “First Strike” DLC For Free

If you don’t already own a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops, I’d suggest not buying it, at least for another week. Why? Because soon you’ll see the regular version of the game swapped out for a “Limited Edition” copy, which will include a token for the “First Strike” DLC.

This new version of the game will be found at most major retailers in North America on June 28. The price will remain the same as the standard edition, which is $59.99. That’s a nice savings of $15, which you can put toward the other round of DLC currently available, or to the next one, which is due out on June 28 as well.

What is interesting is that this “Limited Edition” is only for Xbox 360 and PS3 owners. I’m curious to see if they are going to be putting together a similar promotion for PC players that allows them to get the First Strike DLC for free if they buy the full copy of the game on or after June 28. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.
