Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Will Include Kinect Support

According to a recent announcement from Microsoft Games Studios head Phil Spencer, the forthcoming release of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will offer Kinect support. How will this work? We still have no clue.

Spencer stated in an interview with GameSpot, “As a first party we believe that Kinect will be important to all genres of games, be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse — even games like Halo Anniversary has Kinect integration.” It seems to me that Microsoft wants to take every game they possibly can and add Kinect integration to it. A lot of players out there will be bothered by this, all while others will rejoice.

Hopefully we will receive more information soon, as many are itching to know exactly how the Kinect will be used in the Halo world. Have you any ideas out there? What would you like to see with the Kinect integration and Halo? All I can say is that the company was aiming for an “authentic” Halo experience with the Anniversary release, and adding Kinect support will definitely break that mold.
