World of Tanks Will Be Available Via Retail Special Editions

Wargaming is still pressing forward with its World of Tanks MMO, as now the company is partnering with IGS (International Gaming Software) to bring the game to retail stores everywhere. Special boxed editions will be showing up on retail shelves soon, according to the developer.

Now there isn’t any detail as to what will be showing up in these editions, nor was a price given. I can imagine that these editions will come with somewhere around a $20 price tag, and include either extra tanks, more credits, or a premium account.

Some players out there feel that the F2P title is off-balance, which is understandable. However, any F2P game out there will introduce some sort of cash shop, in efforts to make what they can. This is where games differ, because it is up to the developers on how to balance the shop against non-paying players. As more information comes in about these special editions rolls in, we will be sure to keep you posted.
