El Shaddai Delayed Until August
Ignition Entertainment announced with regret that El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron will be pushed back. The game will not be available now until August 16th, which is just over a couple of weeks past its original July 26th.
The only reason for this delay was cited as “unforeseeon logistical issues,” as quoted from the developers in a statement to Joystiq. The September 1st release date for Europe is still on track, so there are no worries there. These logistical issues most likely have something to do with either making it to shelves, packaging, or something in the game’s marketing process.
Though it’s a big bummer, the game is still making it to console, as we all know it could be worse. Some titles get delayed and eventually don’t make it to consoles. Thankfully Ignition Entertainment assures us that the game is still coming, and this delay time is only an opportunity to fix everything they can.
