Mad Catz Moves Into Publishing Xbox 360 Titles
Mad Cats announced a while back that they were moving beyond the peripheral business with the creation of their Thunder Catz studio, and its first title, War Wings: Hell Catz. Now, the company is taking their step even further as they journey into the world of video game publishing. Specifically publishing games for Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
The company recently announced these new intentions, as they formalized an “Xbox 360 Publisher License Agreement.” This agreement will allow Mad Catz the ability to publish retail games for the console. The company’s CEO and President Darren Richardson stated that, “The execution of the Xbox 360 Publisher License Agreement marks an important milestone as we pursue our longer term goal of expanding our participation in developing, publishing and distributing games.”
War Wings will be debuting on the Xbox 360 and PC, which makes sense that the company made such an agreement with Microsoft. It seems that they are trying to get their foot in everywhere they can, which could be good for the company. What do you think?
