Battlefield Will Have No Steam Power

Steam has always been viewed by players as a great gaming resource; But EA finds it to have a restricting terms of service.

It has been confirmed that Battlefield 3 will not be available through Valves Steam. Via the EA official forum, EA stated the decision was taken because Valve “restricts our ability to directly support players”.

Most other digital retailers will receive Battlefield 3. As for the reason for leaving out steam EA said “Unfortunately, Steam has adopted a set of restrictive terms of service which limit how developers interact with customers to deliver patches and other downloadable content. No other download service has adopted these practices.”

So if Steam is your main way of buying games and you are wanting Battlefield 3 you may have to actually go to a store, or find a different digital retailer.
