Wargaming.net Now Takes It To The Seas

The folks over at Wargaming.net are working diligently with their huge World of Tanks title, but that’s not stopping them from taking their talents towards other types of terrain. Sure, tanks are all great on land, but what about the raging waters of the world’s seas and oceans? Wargaming.net has come across this same question, and they’re already working on an answer.

The developers announced World of Battleships, which will be a brand new title taking warfare to the sea. Keeping with the best traditions of the series, World of Battleships will offer a straightforward interface, easy-to-use controls, and a common economic system that will allow players to distribute resources between the three games for the ultimate progress in each of them. The large assortment of available warships will give various tactical opportunities, as all the machines have a unique combination of firepower, speed, armor, and endurance. Various naval maps with changing weather conditions will enrich the gameplay, and the realistic graphics will transport players into the epic battles that changed the course of human history.

I am kind of looking forward to seeing this game roll out, and if it’s anything like World of Tanks, I think players will be pleased. Taking the fight to the water will be a bit different, and it will most definitely be interesting. World of Battleships will complete the “World of” trilogy, lying beside World of Tanks and World of Warplanes. Are you ready to command your ships to stay afloat?
