GameStop Plans To Release Their Own Gaming Tablet

GameStop, one of the leading names in the gaming retail chain, has just announced that they plan to release their own gaming tablet which will be powered by Android. The device will feature a touch screen, and will be available sometime next year.

The tablet is still without a name, and it will sport some “casual” games which will come pre-installed on the device. The company is also working on setting up a streaming game service for the tablet, something like OnLive. There are even plans in the works to create a dedicated controller for the device which will open up even more playability for the device.

There’s still more to learn about said tablet, and as more arrives we will let you know. We’re looking forward to seeing what types of titles will arrive for the device, and just what it will look like. Do you think that this is a good idea coming from the retail megamind?
