How to Get Ripped Playing Mario

You do use some muscles to play video games, but it’s not like you’re going to go to the gym and realize you can lift 50 lbs more than usual from playing a game for 10 hours a day. Which is why biomedical company Advancer Technologies creating the USB Biofeedback Game Controller is so awesome.

This will essentially make you the controller, and you’ll have to use both forearms and biceps to play. In the video below, the guy playing Super Mario Bros. 3 uses his right forearm to as the A button to jump, and his right bicep moves Mario right, up, and down. The other side only utilizes his left bicep, which will move Mario left.

Ok, this probably isn’t going to get you ripped, but it may give you more of a workout than any other game you’d play on PC. The biomedical company saw this as a was to treat patients with neuromuscular diseases or injuries. However, for us it’s just a new way to play games, similarly to playing Skyrim with Kinect. They did provide an instructional video, so this is one project that you can try at home.
