Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City ‘Heroes Mode’ Multiplayer Announced
In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City players will already have their hands full with trying to protect team members from the ravaging undead, and frustrations can run high. What do you do when you just want to turn friendly fire off and shoot your partner in the foot to teach them a lesson? When it comes down to that situation, Capcom has us covered.
A new mode was just announced for the game’s multiplayer, called “Heroes Mode.” It’s a new type of gameplay mode that has players taking two teams of recognized Resident Evil characters and throwing them into battle against each other. The selectable personalities will be some of our favorites such as Claire, Carlos, Jill, Leon, Hunk, Ada, Nicholai, and Lone Wolf. These battles will see many of our heroes fall, while the rest stand tall above the infection.
You can see more about the Heroes Mode in the official trailer below. It looks like it’ll shape up to be a lot of fun. There’s a while to wait, though until the game releases on March 20th of 2012. Maybe I’ll try a personal best run through every other Resident Evil game while I’m waiting?
