Sly Cube: Portable Gamecube

The Gamecube was not my favorite console of all time, but I certainly did enjoy it. As far as portability goes, is was pretty small and could be packed easily, but this mod makes what was once small, even smaller. Dubbed the Sly Cube, this slimmer Gamecube will give you the ability to take it with you wherever you go.

This is easily a better design, and it would do Nintendo some good to look at a project like this a little closer. With some snazzy new hardware, this could mean high demand and big bucks. To give credit where credit is due, the modder’s name is Slipstream, and you have to know that they poured some serious money and time into this.

This portable gaming palooza has a 7” LCD flip screen, a built-in 7.2v 600 mha lithium-ion battery which equates to 3 or 4 hours of game time, and a controller with rumble that is on the outside of the console. Extra controller ports, memory card slots, and a charge jack are just a few of the extras on this mad machine. It is all hand-built and beautiful to see in action.
