The 1.1 patch for The Old Republic brought us a new Flashpoint, and a new Operation to enjoy. However, it looks as though 1.2 will have even more excitement. Not only will we be getting a new Flashpoint and Operation, but there will be a brand new Warzone, and the first of the Legacy system. Here’s a breakdown of the first three:
While the new areas are going to be great to play in, I think what players are going to be more interested in is the Legacy system. Bioware has revealed that in the Legacy system you will be able to link together characters in your family tree. Those characters will then be able to access special Legacy-only abilities. You will also be able to unlock different species from any class in the family tree. You’ll also be able to get an on-board mailbox and Galactic Trade Network terminal on your ship, so you don’t have to travel all the way into town to make a transaction. Finally, your companions will also be influenced by Legacy bonuses, though they didn’t go into great detail on how.
There are a few other interesting tidbits coming out for 1.2. Things like guild banks and PVP Warzone rankings will make life a little easier. Hopefully now you won’t find yourself clearly outmatched when you load into a Warzone. Look for the patch to drop sometime in April.
