Confrontation Launch Trailer – The War Rages On

Yesterday we posted a preview of Cyanide’s upcoming RTS, Confrontation, for the PC. This new game features the great RTS mechanics as many of its genre do, though the developer has introduced some RPG elements into the mix to offer a brand new way to play. Confrontation offers players with plenty of carnage to fill their hunger, but you don’t have to take my word for it.

Just released, along with the game itself, is an official launch trailer that shows plenty of what I’m talking about. In the video players will learn more about Aarklash, the land in which Confrontation takes place. They’ll also learn about the Rag’narok, which is the ongoing battle that’s being called the “end of times.” Finally, each of the warring factions are highlighted, giving some insight to who the personalities are that will be taking up arms in the growing war.

Though the trailer doesn’t show actual gameplay, it still looks good. I think the trailer does a good job of introducing players into the story of Confrontation, and helps guide them toward seeing a little deeper into the game’s world. Since the game was adapted from the Confrontation tabletop miniatures game, it’s translated well into an RTS that players will find it easy to get right into.
