Dungeons & Dragons Next Public Playtesting Begins In May

Wizards of the Coast has just announced that the official public playtesting for their latest D&D Next campaign will kick off starting on May 24th this year. These playtests will offer players their chance to help shape the future of Dungeons and Dragons, a game that’s spanned 38 years in the community. Not to mention that the D&D campaigns have spawned an entire gaming genre in itself, which is a pretty big deal.

In the weeks coming, the Legends & Lore column on the official Wizards site will offer up insight into the materials in the playtest and plans to roll out content. Players will now have the opportunity to share their vision on the game at large, as well as where the campaign should head next. After all, D&D Next is our game, right?

I’m looking forward to these playtests, and if you’re like me, you’ll want to voice every little opinion on the game you’ve got. Make sure to head over to the column and keep watch on it for upcoming dates and locations for each event. You wouldn’t want to miss your chance to be part of something that’s so big in the gaming community, yet so loved and deep-rooted.
