The PSN Is Down, And It’s Scheduled For 13 Hours

Sony is ready to upset the PS3 community again, which means that the PlayStation Network is down yet again for maintenance. Don’t worry, this isn’t some random issue – it was planned. The bad news, however, is that the toll for this day will be a 13-hour outage.

No one will be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, or their Account Management while this maintenance is being run. This also means that any sites run from the PSN server, such as the PlayStation Blog, will also be offline during this time. The Twitter account will still be running, so you can maintain updates from there.

There isn’t really any specifics regarding what this downtime will be for, so we’re all really guessing. As many of you know, this isn’t the first run of maintenance that’s been put into effect within the last few months, and many players are less than happy with this. There hasn’t been any real changes to the network, but it still must be kept up. Remember to check back here and on the official PlayStation Twitter for updates.
