Battlefield 3 Premium Will Include Early Access To DLC (Rumor)

If you recall when Modern Warfare 3 dropped last year, people were able to purchase Call of Duty Elite subscriptions. This gave you certain perks, including access to all upcoming DLC. When you did the math, it was actually a pretty good deal. Many have wondered if such a thing would ever be used by DICE and EA for the Battlefield franchise.

If rumors are to be believed, the companies have been putting together something called ‘Battlefield 3 Premium’. This $60 purchase would net you all current and forthcoming DLC, in addition to a variety of skins and camos. The most interesting tidbit is that buyers will have early access to all upcoming DLC.

This is all currently considered a rumor, though one retailer has it listed for roughly $60, with a release date of June 29. I imagine that with only a week until E3 is in full swing, EA won’t be too interested in revealing the details until the big event. Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you posted on the developments.
