Dark Souls ‘Prepare To Die’ Content Will Be Available Through Steam And Consoles

Namco Bandai helped rekindle the flames in droves of gamers’ hearts when they announced that Dark Souls would be making a move to the PC. The game is coming, in a new edition called “Prepare To Die.” It will feature additional content, more bosses, and a tougher difficulty setting that the console versions did not.

But what about players who faithfully bought the game on console when it released? Is there something for them? Of course there is, according to IGN. The additional content coming to the PC version of the game will be released as DLC for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime this winter. The expansion will be called “Artorias of the Abyss.” Sounds cool, doesn’t it?

For those of you who are grabbing up the Prepare To Die Edition in August when it releases, there’s great news for you. The PC version won’t be released solely on Games For Windows Live (though we know you all want it to), but it will be ushered through Steam as well. I suppose the publisher decided that if they sent it this way, there wouldn’t be any need for further petitioning. Good choice, Namco Bandai.
