Free Xbox Live Gold Weekend Starting Friday

If you’re looking to spend some time this weekend playing online with your friends, but don’t have the cash to renew your Xbox Live Gold subscription, you’re in luck. To celebrate the launch of Amazon Instant Video, Microsoft is holding a free Xbox Live Gold weekend.

Starting Friday, June 1st and ending on Sunday June 3rd, you’ll be able to access all of the features normally reserved for Gold members. This includes online multiplayer in games, and streaming content through services such as Netflix and the new Amazon Instant Video app.

The free weekend is open to everyone in the U.S., Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Chile. All you’ll need is an Xbox 360 and an internet connection. Those should be a given, though.
