Assassin’s Creed 3 For The PC Likely Delayed [Rumor]

If you’re a fan of the Assassin’s Creed series and were wanting to buy the latest iteration for the PC, I have some bad news. It looks like the PC version of Assassin’s Creed 3 will be delayed about a month compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. The 360/PS3 versions will still be released on October 31st, but the PC version will most likely launch on November 23rd.

It’s not a surprise for Ubisoft to delay the PC version of games. The PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Revelation was delayed by a couple of weeks, and the PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood came out over 4 months after the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were released.

Another thing that Ubisoft is known for is their unusually restrictive DRM when it comes to PC games. If I had to guess, I would say that including their DRM package into the game is probably why AC3 will be delayed by a month. It’s a shame, really, that Ubisoft feels the need to include DRM that limits you to installing a game only a few times, because I’d love to play the Assassin’s Creed series, but my Xbox 360 is in storage right now and I don’t feel like dealing with the DRM for the PC. Oh well.
