Journey Collector’s Edition Comes Out August 28th
If you have not yet had the pleasure of trying out Journey from thatgamecompany, or loved it so much that you want more of anything to do with the game, then you’ll be pleased to know that there will be a Collector’s Edition. Sadly, it is a ways off as it doesn’t hit the shelves until August 28th of this year. The price tag will be $29.99, but you will get much more than just a game.
For those of you who missed what Journey is, it’s something quite unlike most games you’ve probably played. You are playing as a cloaked figure who is traveling the desert trying to make it to a mountain in the distance. You’ll meet other players along the way who you can either choose to travel with or without. It has amazing scenery and gorgeous music.
Now for the Collector’s Edition, you will not only be getting Journey, but flOw and Flower which are also thatgamecompany PlayStation Network titles. This is going to be the first disk release, and will be a Blu-Ray bundle. On top of these two games, you will also get:
- Thirty-minute behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of Journey
- Creator Commentary playthroughs of all three games
- Three exclusive mini-games from thatgamecompany
- Concept art and screenshot galleries for all three games
- Original soundtracks for all three games
- PS3 dynamic themes and wallpapers
- PSN avatars including eight exclusive new Journey avatars never released before
- Official game trailers and developer diary videos
- Reversible cover art
This looks to be a set worth getting, the only sad part is having to wait to get it.
