The Secret World, an MMO developed by Funcom, has been hosting beta events for quite a while now. These events were usually open to those who were invited, leaving many players out in the cold. Even if you signed up and went through The Secret War (the mini game that Funcom put in place to help promote the actual game), there was still a chance that you wouldn’t make it into the beta events. Funcom has changed all that with the final event coming up soon. This last beta weekend will be open to everyone.
Funcom made an announcement on the game’s official website, asking players to sign up to look for as many bugs as they can before the game releases. The announcement read:
“Everyone who has ever registered for The Secret World beta will get access to this final Beta Weekend. This is also true for anyone who has not registered yet but still registers before Friday, June 22nd.
On June 22nd at 16:00 GMT (12PM EST) the fourth, biggest and final Beta Weekend for The Secret World kicks off, offering a preview of the epic conflict between the three secret societies: the Illuminati, the Dragon, and the Templars. The Beta Weekend will run until Monday June 25th, 06:59 GMT (2:59 AM EST).
All content from the previous Beta Weekends will be available.”
The new content added in this weekend event is a PVP warzone that opens up to more than 200 players. If you’ve not been able to jump into the beta at this point, now’s your chance to go register and suit up. The Secret World launches on July 3rd, so you’d better choose your society and make a wise decision quickly.
