If you were to say that the Halo series was the face of the Xbox systems, it probably wouldn’t be far from the truth. The fact is, it was the original Xbox’s breakout smash hit when the console was launched, and though people give it crap for being like “every FPS ever”, it was probably the game that helped make the Xbox a serious contender. In other words, you can bet that Microsoft is going to make sure that any sort of bundles or anything will be top of the line!
Though it’s not been officially announced yet, the Halo 4 console bundle was leaked yesterday by Microsoft before being taken offline, and it certainly does look good. With a price of $399.99, the Halo 4 console bundle includes a 320 GB Halo 4 themed Xbox 360, 2 wireless controllers with a custom Halo 4 skin and blue LED’s, a black headset and (of course) Halo 4. Also included with the console is exclusive Halo 4 downloadable content, including an armor skin, a weapon skin, an emblem, matching avatar armor, and an avatar prop, all exclusive to the bundle.
The most interesting thing about the console bundle though has to do with the console itself. Besides having the Halo 4 skin on it, the console also has custom sounds for when the system is turned on or when the disc drive is ejected. It’s those little touches like that that make the Halo 4 console bundle almost worth it, especially for the Halo fanboy crowd!
