Metal Gear Solid 4 To Receive Trophies Via Update
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was an amazing game, much like the other titles in the Metal Gear series. It was one of the first games I picked up for the PS3 and one of the only reasons I wanted one. The game released back in 2008, which was a bit humorous due to the fact that it released when Trophies hadn’t yet been added to the PS3 system.
Hideo Kojima has commented before on the game receiving Trophies, and we were told by Sean Eyestone back in 2009 to be patient when waiting for Trophies to arrive for the game. It’s been three years since then, but now we’ve gotten the news that MGS4 will, in fact, be receiving its own Trophies via an update that will go out for the game.
We don’t have word on when this update would be available, though we’ve an idea. A newer version of the game will be released in Japan next month, so we assume it will be getting an update around that time. If you’ve still got a copy of the game you’ll be able to reap sweet Trophy goodness when it gets updated. I am kind of curious as to what Trophies we’ll see. Have any ideas?
