Tower Defense FPS Game Sanctum Is Coming To Mac

Tower defense games are a good way to make you think through your moves. Normally, you see things from a birds-eye view, and are able to plan in advance as you watch your foes trek through a maze you’ve constructed. But what if you could be right in the midst of it all, helping to take down the baddies?

Sanctum is a different take on the genre of tower defense by adding in the element of FPS. You’ll be playing as an elite soldier named Skye who is trying to protect her hometown from a horde of alien creatures. Obviously your main defense are the structures you build, but you will literally be in the fray, firing away at enemies.

There is a range of upgradeable weapons to help you in this fight, but you’ll have to make sure you have sound defenses to keep your foes at bay. This game is already available for $10, or $29.99 for four copies if you want to play with your friends. It’s currently in beta testing for Mac, which you can acquire access to by filing out a form.
