Diablo 3 Paragon System

We knew recently that the upcoming 1.0.4 patch for Diablo 3 was going to be a doozy. They made a lot of changes to the barbarian, demon hunter, monk, witch doctor, and wizard. Another new implementation for the game will be the Paragon system.

This will address the Magic Find gear-swapping issues, and give players who have reached level 60 more to look forward to. Level 60 players will now be able to gain further experience from killing monsters and add that towards Paragon levels. There are 100 of these, and this way you can add on to general stats such as strength, intelligence, vitality, and so on. You will also gain 3% Magic and Gold Find.

The Magic and Gold Find Systems will now cap at 300%, but Nephalem Valor won’t count towards it. Ultimately, they want to move away from the Magic Find system, but that’s going to take a bit. You can read the extended version about this update on the official Diablo 3 blog here.
