Download The New Dota 2 Spectator Client Now!

Over the past few years e-sports has really come into its own. Thanks to the popularity of high speed internet, thousands of people can stream matches of some of the best players of the world’s best games going at it in real time. StarCraft and StarCraft II helped create the interest for people, but games like League of Legends helped get fans get even closer to the action by including a spectator mode.

Now LoL’s chief competition is doing the same thing. Yesterday evening it was announced on Steam that the Dota 2 Spectator Client is available for anybody to download. In other words, you don’t have to be a member of the beta in order to check out the spectator mode!

The app allows you to watch any Live or Recent matches, as well as upcoming games in The International competition, which is being held in Seattle. All of the spectator features are enabled for you, including Player Perspective, Commentators, and the Directed View. So, if you have nothing better to do one evening, why not download the Spectator Client, sit back, and watch some awesome Dota 2 action?
