God Of War: Ascension Greets The Elephantaur

We recently got to see one of the monsters that is going to be in God of War: Ascension, and he is not a small fellow. Polyphemus is definitely going to cause you some problems when the game comes out, but he’s not going to be the only creature lurking about. If you happened to see the God of War: Ascension single player premiere at this past E3, you might have seen the next creature that we’ll be looking at, the Elephantaur.

While he is quite a bit smaller than our previous baddie, it doesn’t mean he’s not going to pack a punch. You would normally imagine a similarly-minded creature, such as the minotaur, to be a savage beast who only uses animal instinct to thrash wildly at his foes. The Elephantaur however, is skilled in his craft of destruction.

This guy is decked out in tusk blades, pauldrons, and a sort of cestus for his trunk. He even carries a mace made out of the tusks of his fallen enemies. Sadly, we already know the fate for this big guy thanks to the premiere, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t still a wonderfully horrific boss. If you missed the E3 video, look below.
