If you are a God of War fan, then March 12th of next year probably can’t come fast enough. Chances are you’re likely drooling over the new multiplayer, and are craving new details to crop up. Thankfully, the beta for God of War: Ascension multiplayer was announced today, so hopefully that will wet your appetite for the time being.
However, it doesn’t really have a specific date just yet, and all we know is that it’s coming “in the near future.” PlayStation Plus subscribers will of course get first dibs, so if you want to be one of the first to play, you’ll need to make sure you have a subscription. If you want to see what this aspect will be like, check out the multiplayer trailer below.
The story for why you are who you are in this mode has not been revealed just yet, but it is known that you will have to side with one of four Gods: Zeus, Hades, Ares, or Poseidon. You choice will affect your abilities and combat-play style. If you want your friends to play with you, you can get them the God of War: Saga Collection for about $40 for the holidays. This will give you a one month subscription to Playstation Plus, which means you can all play on the beta together as well.
