PlayStation Plus Subscribers Grab Dead Space 2 For Free

One of the big announcements at E3 this year was the upcoming sequel in the Dead Space series. Dead Space 3 is shaping up to be a new experience, and players are debating whether that’s good or bad. If you’ve not been able to take a crack at the series, now would be your chance if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber.

Dead Space 2, the second title in the don’t-turn-the-lights-off scifi survival shooter series is now available completely for free. The game has been listed in Sony’s Instant Games Collection, which means you can hop up, locate and set the game to download, go grab a bite to eat, and when you return home you can get your pants scared right off of you. That is, as long as you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber in Europe.

The game’s Severed DLC is half-price during the span that Dead Space 2 is in the Collection, as are all of the weapon and suit packs. It’s a great time to grab both the game and its DLC, so don’t miss out on it. The Dead Space series is one of my favorites, and Dead Space 2 really set the bar higher than before. I was able to grab both the game and the Severed DLC, and review them both. I’m extremely glad I picked them up. So what are you waiting for? Go get scared now!

Do you know if this will be available to US customers?

    Rafael,

As of right now there isn’t any word on if US PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive this or not. We’re keeping an ear open.
