The Last Guardian US Trademark Has Been Dropped By Sony

There hasn’t been much exciting news for The Last Guardian lately. Many have been afraid that this game is never going to come out. An interview Gamespot held with the PlayStation software development head Scott Rhode told us it is going to ship, but no solid details were given.

We knew that it was going to take some time to get this game together, so hopefully patience is going to pay off, right? Well, as of August 6th, the trademark for The Last Guardian was put as “abandoned” on Trademarkia. Needless to say, this is not happy tidings.

This could most definitely be a slip-up on Sony’s part. Hopefully we’ll hear news of someone getting a good wrist slap and being told not to forget about that again. On the other hand, if this is legitimate, things might not be looking too good for this game. Keep in mind that not having a trademark doesn’t mean the game has been dropped, but it’s not a good sign.
