Warhammer Quest Takes The Game From Tabletop To Mobile

Rodeo Games has just announced that they’re working on a brand new game that’s due out during the spring of 2013. The game will be called Warhammer Quest and it’ll be based off the 1995 spinoff fantasy game. Warhammer was originally designed as a miniatures tabletop game, but it’s come quite a long way since video games have gotten popular.

Warhammer Quest will be a top-down RPG that offers up strategy-based gameplay, It will work somewhat like the RTS games that we’ve come to know well, and there will be a sort of map discovery system put in place for when players travel between cities. The game will utilize Rodeo’s Taurus Engine, which is the very same that was used in Hunters 2. It’ll provide a classic Warhammer experience as players will control four team members and traverse dungeons in search of treasure.

This surely isn’t the first Warhammer video game and it’ll definitely not be the last. Fans of the game have flocked to other titles such as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. Warhammer Quest will be releasing for the iPhone and iPad, though there isn’t any talk yet whether it will arrive on Android or not. We’ll keep our ears open, in the meantime check out the game’s teaser trailer below.
