HeroClix TabApp Now Available, Figure Packs In Stores

Back at Gen Con I checked out this pretty cool app for the iOS that allows HeroClix fans to take their game digital. The app has players using special-made Clix to play a video game on their iPad. You can fend off evil-doers with one of many different heroes ranging from Wolverine to the God of Thunder himself, Thor.

The app, called HeroClix TabApp, is now available for download on the App Store for iOS devices. The special Clix, which can be bought in character packs, are now available in Toys “R” Us stores worldwide. The first character pack includes Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America.

The app itself is free, however you’ll need the Clix to play it properly. A bonus is that the Clix themselves can be used in the actual tabletop game if you so desire. The only setback with that is the TabApp Clix look more cartoony as they’re made for a target audience. Still, if you’re awesome enough to use them go right ahead. Either way, go bust up some bad guys!
