Hungry Hungry Hippos Gets A Mario Inspired Face Lift

Surely you all have played Hungry Hungry Hippos at one time or another. The point of the game is to release little white balls into an arena where they will be gobbled up by ravenous hippos. When I played, we always fought over who got what color, as if that would somehow affect the outcome of the game.

If you’ve ever wanted to revisit those days of lever-smashing fun, then you now have a reason to. The Hungry Hungry Koopas are literally the same game with a brand new, Mario-inspired face. These Koopa kids, lava pit, and stone work took about 50 hours to create.

It seems as though the creator, kodykoala, has made only one, and is looking to sell it. What the price is like, I have no idea, but you can imagine it’s going to be as amazing as this piece is. It was stated that this would be available at the El Paso Comic Con this past weekend, and if it didn’t sell, it’ll be up for grabs.
