Captain Scarlett Borderlands 2 DLC Releasing Next Week

Next week the first major expansion for Borderlands 2 will launch, specifically next Tuesday. Gearbox has just announced this charming bit of information, informing us that the will be none other than the swashbuckling Captain Scarlett pack. It will be available for 800 Microsoft Points, or $9.99.

The extra content will provide new missions that take players to a desert littered with bandit settlements. This new land, which is called Oasis, hosts many different types of villains who are ruled over by a pirate queen named Scarlett. And with this DLC you’ll be going right after her booty.

Data miners uncovered in the game’s Steam files that the content will also include new weapons, bosses, raids, and a new rarity level. There will be plenty of content to explore. It even looks as if the entire script from the DLC has been leaked as well, so you can browse it at your leisure. Captain Scarlett is the first of four DLC packs that will be released throughout the Borderlands 2 Season Pass, while other add-ons will be available throughout the game’s lifespan.
