Dark Souls Artorias of the Abyss DLC Now Available
Remember that game that looks beautiful, yet death is imminently unavoidable? Remember throwing your controller in frustration when fighting enemies who are unforgiving to the core? Yeah, I remember Dark Souls too, and though it’s one of the toughest games I’ve ever played, I love it. The game recently released for PC in a special “Prepare to Die Edition,” and gamers have been giving their all to surpass the game’s many different trials.
A piece of content that was released for the PC version of the game is now available as DLC for the console versions of the game. This content is called the Artorias of the Abyss DLC and it adds some supplemental features to the game to increase your playtime with this epic title. The download pack offers access to new maps and environment, new bosses, new enemies, new NPCs, and both new weapons and armor. There will also be some new content that allows player versus player gameplay as well as online co-op.
You can pick up the Artorias of the Abyss DLC for 1200 Microsoft Points, or $14.99 on the PS3. The Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition is set to be released on consoles this week, so you have the option to hold out and pick up that version if you don’t already own the game. This new content will add some precious game hours to what’s already available, and there’s no doubt that the new bosses will offer plenty of wrath for their reckoning. I’m still battling my way through the game, and it’s no easy task, but the victory will taste that much sweeter in the end.
