God Of War And 300 Are Coming Together As GameStop Exclusive DLC
What’s the first thing you think about when somebody says “Sparta”? Well, considering how you’re on a gaming website you’re probably thinking about God of War, but I’d bet that 300 wouldn’t be too far behind. After all, it’s given us such memorable lines like “THIS. IS. SPARTA!” and “TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!”
Well the God of War franchise and 300 are finally coming together at last! If you pre-order God of War: Ascension from GameStop you’ll get an exclusive multiplayer DLC based on the movie. The pre-order bonus gives you the outfit Leonidas wore in 300, from the helm, to the red cape, and the so-called armor, as well as his spear with a set of unique combat moves to go with all this. Also included in the pre-order bonus is a large 22 by 28 inch double sided poster.
I have to admit, I think the King Leonidas stuff is cool, but it’s a little sad that it’s a GameStop exclusive. Then again, I’m willing to bet that if you wait long enough you’ll be able to buy that skin for a couple of bucks off of the PSN Store. After all, people will be seeing other gamers using the skin online, and start thinking to themselves “Man that’s cool, I want that!” and before you know it Sony puts it up for sale and starts raking in the dough.
