Okami HD Hits PSN Today

There was a big debate about whether or not video games should count as art. There are several different good examples to prove that games are art in their own right, but one of the big arguing points gamers had was Okami. This title is art inside of art, and has been in the Smithsonian as part of the “Art of Video Games” exhibit if that says anything.

When it was released, it didn’t have the same crisp visuals we have access to nowadays. Thankfully, an HD version was in the works, and it’s now available on PSN for North America. You’ll be able to download it for $19.99 with the PlayStation Store update.

You’ll get full 1080p with this purchase, and there will be PlayStation Move motion controller support so you can actually control the brush. There will also be trophy support, including a Platinum trophy which will give you new challenges to complete. No go and feast your eyes on some delicious art in this HD launch video.
