Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC ‘Close’ For The PS3

According to Bethesda, the Skyrim DLC that many have been missing out on is “close” to arriving for the PS3. On the developers’ official Twitter account they posted a tweet stating, “…we’re also close on new Skyrim content for PS3 and PC.” Of course this news is referring to the exclusivity window for the DLC on the Xbox 360, but now PS3 owners have something to look forward to.

Back in October Pete Hines, Bethesda’s Vice President of Marketing, posted via Twitter that at the time no news would be forthcoming on the DLC for the PS3. Owners of the console have been left behind more than once for the DLC releases, and though it’s common for the Xbox 360 to get exclusivity, it doesn’t sting any less.

Whether the “close” content will be Hearthfire and Dawnguard is unknown at this point. Bethesda hasn’t commented any further, though they did say that the tweet was “meant to inform fans new content is coming to PC and PS3.” We’d love to know more, and as soon as we do we’ll update. Hopefully Bethesda can work things out quickly to get PS3 owners back in their graces once more.
