Crysis 3 PC Specs Released

When the original Crysis was first released 5 years ago it became the benchmark for new computers, thanks to its ridiculous requirements. A running joke appeared on the internet where somebody would show some incredible new technology or something, and inevitably somebody would ask “but can it run Crysis?” Crysis 2 continued on with this tradition as well, and according to the stats released by EA and Crytek, it looks like Crysis 3 will be yet another benchmark.

Sure, it has a set of minimum requirements, but even that’s pretty hefty. After all, you’ll need a DirectX 11 GPU with at least 1 GB of video RAM. They list an Nvidia GTS 450 and an AMD Radeon HD5770 as being examples of what would be considered barely adequate for Crysis 3. The recommended level wants you to have an Nvidia GTX 560 or a Radeon HD 5870, which are not cheap, my friends! And if you want to get to high performance? You better break out the credit card, because they’re looking for an Nvidia GTX 680 or an AMD Radeon HD7970, and not only that, but they even recommend using an SLI or Crossfire configuration! Here are the rest of the stats:
