Destiny is the next big thing out of Bungie. An MMO-like first person shooter, Destiny is all about being part of a huge, persistent world you inhabit where you interact with other players as you go about completing your own, well, destiny. Up until now, though, it hasn’t exactly been known as to what systems it would come out for, except for the fact that it’s not likely to come out on PC anytime soon…
However, there is another console that will be getting Destiny: the newly announced PlayStation 4. It was announced last night that Destiny will be released on both the PS3 and PS4 at the same time. There is no word yet if the two versions will have cross-platform capabilities, though personally I would hope so.
Bungie also released some clips of the game at the PlayStation event, as seen above. Though it still hasn’t been said as to when the game will be released, it’s not hard to imagine that if it comes out this year it’ll come out right around, or perhaps even with, the release of the PS4. I know one thing for sure, it looks like it’ll be a real smash hit when it comes out.
