Microsoft Store Offering 360-to-One Game Upgrades For $10

As great as a new console in November sounds, the fact is there are plenty of good games coming up before then. That leads to a dilemma: “do I buy a version of a game now for the Xbox 360, or do I wait until my Xbox One comes out?” Luckily, Microsoft, as well as other retailers, are letting you have your cake and eat it too.

Microsoft announced that through their Microsoft Store if you bring in a 360 version of Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25, Need for Speed: Rivals, Call of Duty: Ghosts, NBA 2K14, FIFA 14, or Assassin’s Creed 4 you can trade them in for the Xbox One version for an extra $10. Don’t have a Microsoft Store anywhere near you? No problem! Amazon and Best Buy are doing similar promotions as well, though they includeWatch_Dogs in that list.

Unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be a similar offer with most of the PlayStation versions. The only game that can be upgraded in this way at this time from the PS3 to the PS4 is Call of Duty: Ghosts. If you’re an Xbox owner and you’re looking to take advantage of this deal, you have until December 31st to get it done!
