Titanfall Makes Landfall In March

One of the coolest looking games we saw this past year wasTitanfall. Developed by Respawn Entertainment (who was founded by Jason West and Vince Zampella of Infinity Ward fame), the game takes place in the future where gamers can fight in titans, big mechs that deal out a lot of damage and take a bunch of punishment. That’s not to say that it’s all titans: indeed, most players will usually end up being regular troops on the ground, with the itans being more of a support function more than anything else.

Titanfall is coming out to the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the PC on March 11th, according to a press release by Respawn Entertainment. They also announced a collector’s edition, which is going to cost a pretty penny at $250. It comes with quite a bit however, from an 18 inch statue with diorama and lights, to a 190 page art book and a schematic poster of the Atlas titan.

All in all, it looks pretty exciting. What’s more, it should hopefully be a bit of fresh air in the FPS scene, long dominated by the likes of Call of Duty and Battlefield. While it sucks that there is no PS4 version coming (yet), at least I can pick it up on the PC!
