Amazon Launches Digital Store For PSN

Digital games definitely have some positives. For one, instead of going out to the store and fighting off the crowds to get a disc that can easily be scratched or broken, you can instead stay in your pjs at home and download a game directly to your hard drive. What’s more, with the fact that you can play a game while it’s being downloaded by a next gen console, you don’t even have to wait hours upon hours to start playing like you would in the past! If there is one downside to digital games for Sony and Microsoft systems, it’s that you have to use the console makers’ store and miss out on any great deals other folks are having. Right?

Not anymore! Amazon announced that they now have their own dedicated PlayStation Network store where gamers can purchase digital copies of games instead of using Sony’s store. This store isn’t just for PS4 users: indeed, if you own a PS3 or a PS Vita you can find games in Amazon’s store!

All in all, it’s a win-win for gamers. With a second storefront to purchase games digitally now available, gamers can now get in on some awesome deals that will inevitably pop up from time to time. And hey, if you’re looking to get in on the Amazon PSN store action, if you buy something from the store you’ll get a $5 credit automatically that can be used in the store. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself!
