Chris Roberts’ Star Citizen may have quite some time to go before it’s released, but every day the folks with Roberts Space Industries is hard at work creating this game. It’s been awhile since they last updated their little “preview” Hangar Module, but now the wait is over! And what’s more, this update adds a new feature that is instrumental to any online game: persistence.
What exactly does that mean? It means that now whenever you change the loadout of your ships that loadout will be the same when you log back in. Admittedly, it doesn’t seem like a whole lot, but it’s an absolute must for when the game is further along in development.
Other features added include a brand new trophy case, new fish tank decorations, and the Golden Ticket plaque, for those lucky folks who signed up before the game was officially revealed last October. But while this patch is important, it’s likely going to be overshadowed by the next patch set to come out later this month. That particular patch will likely contain the weapons testing platform, giving folks the opportunity to test their weapons out while waiting for the Dogfighting Module.
