[GenCon 2014] Obsidian To Make Games Based on Pathfinder Franchise

We know Obsidian Entertainment for video games like Fallout: New Vegas and South Park: The Stick of Truth. However, the company is set to tackle a new type of game, in new franchise. Today, Paizo Games announced a new partnership that has been formed with Obsidian to make a variety of video games based on their popular Pathfinder franchise.

The first such game will be a digital representation of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game. It will be a cooperative game for 1-4 players that should play much the same way that the physical game does. Rather than being for the PC or console, the game will be available on tablets. Which, honestly is probably one of the best platforms for a virtual card game.

With GenCon starting today, we’re happy to hear that Obsidian will be showing off an early prototype of the game both at their own booth, and Paizo’s. We’ll be sure to stop in and check it out while we’re covering the show.
