Battlestar Galactica PC Is The Best Case Mod I’ve Ever Seen

By Feigned, Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

A lot of people decide to make modifications to their PC case, and they turn out alright. Other people decide to go all-out, and you’re left with a creation that can only be described as “pure awesome”. This Battlestar Galactica PC mod falls into the latter category.

This machine has just about everything you could imagine, right down to functioning runway lights. You’ll find 3 2.5-inch LCD screens, and a nice 10-inch LCD screen on the side, just in case you’ve forgotten a full-sized one. Even more impressive is the slot-loading optical drive hidden behind the Battlestar Galactica medallion. I can’t even imagine the sort of time and effort it took to put this together. Kudos to Boddaker, the mastermind behind this incredible project.

  • Handmade Classic Nintendo DS Cases

By Kat, Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

Alright now this is how you make a case for gamers. The knitted case I wrote up at the very beginning of the month was an example of a case you buy for your Grandmother. Now if you’re looking for a case for your DS then you’ll love the seller Janis13 on Etsy. They are currently selling 15 different very cool pouches. Some featuring classic Nintendo designs, others look perfect for Halloween featuring Frankenstein, his bride and a very cool pouch with skulls and crossbones on it. All of which feature a zipper enclosure to make sure your DS stays secure. The cases are all sold for $13, but you can get the set shown above for $21 which is $5 less than if you were to buy them separately.

  • The crocheted Sony PSP Case just for Grandma

By Kat, Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

Seriously, sometimes the fascination with knitting and crocheting accessories for gaming just goes a bit too far sometimes.  What self respecting gamer would shove their beloved PSP into a case like this?!  Yes, homemade items are fun and typically unique, but this doesn’t have that slightest bit of geek appeal.  They could at least toss a classic gaming character onto the front.  However, instead they opted for a plain look, making this case perfect for a gaming grandmother.  To pick one up it will cost you $15 on Etsy.

  • Screaming Skull Protective Mask Cover for your PS3

By Kat, Friday, September 12th, 2008

There are all sorts of skins that you can deck out all of your gaming consoles with. However, this is my new favorite, even if technically it’s not a skin. It’s a protective mask cover that is not sticky like the skins. It also makes your PS3 look as if there is a skull trying to escape it. Provided the sheen of the cover and the tone of black matches well, this would definitely make any PS3 look incredibly badass. These are being sold on SourcingMap for $10.99 a piece.

    NZXT Guardian 921

Today I’m going to kick off the first of many reviews here at GamerFront with the Guardian 921 case from NZXT. These guys probably aren’t the first people you think of when it comes to PC cases, but they’re definitely worth a look. This Guardian 921 case isn’t one of their high-end models, but still has the looks and features that will make most gamers happy. Hit the jump for my full review.
